Asking the right questions of yourself.
Recently I have found myself asking a lot of questions of myself. Why did I choose the life that I am living, why did I choose the personality that I have, why did I involve myself in the development of my spiritual self? In asking these questions I concluded that there are many layers to all of these questions. I also realized that the answers will take a lifetime as it is the living of these question that give us the answers. As we live we keep peeling off the layers exposing knowledge, experience, mindfulness and of course wisdom.
There Is No Answer to Ourselves
Getting no answer does not mean that we stop asking the questions as by doing so we are expanding our energy, reaching towards the infinite possibilities that become our life.
We search for definitive answers, longing for certainty, but often find only more questions in return. This realization can be both unsettling and liberating, as it encourages us to accept the fluidity of our own identity and the ongoing journey of self-discovery. Embracing the unknown allows us to grow, adapt, and find meaning in the unfolding process rather than in any fixed conclusion. This fluidity is such a natural part of our soul nature, it has no limitations, it engages us with all the energy of life and directs us with natural ease on the paths that we all take. Too often we seek for a destination believing that is the end result .How many times have we all fixed ourselves into a belief system that dams up the natural flow and evolution of our thoughts, feeling and actions?
It is in the persistent curiosity and the willingness to reflect that we truly grow. Each question opens a door to greater self-awareness, inviting us to embrace both uncertainty and discovery. Through this ongoing process, we become more attuned to our purpose and more compassionate toward ourselves. We are stepping into an observation of something deeper rather than the obvious. While I might say I became a channel for source to serve humanity, my reasons are more complex. Many people search for their purpose, forgetting that simply living and exploring their unique qualities is purpose in itself.
We Cannot Be Taught To Be Who We Are.
We can be advised and supported, encouraged and directed but the real teaching is what we offer ourselves through how we harvest the energy of life. In my belief as we advance our knowledge we are acquiring more of ourselves and these selves bring in new perspectives of life.
Questioning is essential; embracing diverse perspectives is necessary for our continued growth and development.
This journey inward is deeply personal and cannot be rushed or forced. There is a natural process of development that is unique to each of us and as we become more personal with ourselves, we find this. To force yourself into understanding yourself or life will only lead to unsettledness and confusion and at times despair as you struggle to grasp the complexities of what you are involved in.
By allowing ourselves to remain open to new ideas and experiences, we cultivate resilience and adaptability in the face of life's uncertainties. This openness not only enriches our understanding of ourselves but also deepens our connections with others, as we learn to appreciate the complexity and diversity of the human experience. Ultimately, it is through the process of questioning and self-exploration that we discover the ever-evolving nature of who we truly are.
What Do You Mean To Yourself?
Daily you garner information that you will either use on the day or lay down for future reference.
In contemplating what we mean to ourselves, it is important to recognize that our self-worth is shaped not only by our achievements, but also by how we honor our values and respond to challenges. The significance we hold in our own lives is an ever-shifting reflection, informed by our experiences, aspirations, and the way we nurture ourselves through moments of joy and adversity. Finding meaning within ourselves is not a static declaration, but a continuous dialogue that evolves as we grow and change. We are not here to prove who is right and who is wrong. There is no such thing as the right or wrong beliefs. Self-righteousness leads to unnecessary judgment, prejudice, and conflict. When exploring methods for development, it is important to clearly identify objectives and ensure that selected experiences align with those goals. If not we can be very disappointed and disillusioned because it did not live up to our expectations. Or perhaps more simply put it wasn’t the proper match
This ongoing accumulation of insights shapes the way you perceive your own value and identity. The meaning you assign to yourself is not static; it evolves through your actions, choices, and the lessons drawn from daily life. In recognizing your own significance, you empower yourself to live authentically and with intention, continually redefining what it means to be you.
Are You Skimming the Surface, Are You Willing To Go Deeper?
In the 1990s I hosted a radio programme called Talking With Tabaash. The aim was for Tabaash to give his incites and then open the line up for people to ask questions. I became rather frustrated with the level of questioning as I had expected people would ask questions around the spirituality and philosophy of life. Instead we had people asking if their house was going to sell soon, or if there was a new relationship in the future etc. Is this what people thought spirit was there for? To ask about the cat and where they left their wallet? I know through my experiences that for some that is as far as their spiritual experiences will take them as when they started to move towards truly, looking at themselves and changing, they resisted. And that’s all good, everyone is simply God doing it their own way. I recall a quote I read How far down the rabbit hole of experience are you prepared to go? Perhaps it depends on the size of the rabbit?
The rabbit hole seems to be beckoning for us, enticing us to go in and to take the experiences of ourselves further. Asking questions of ourselves is part of the process as we take those new tentative steps into deepening our relationship with what we are and what we do with that knowledge.
It is important to reflect on whether we are truly engaging with the deeper currents of our lives, or simply remaining at the surface out of habit or fear. Many of us, at times, choose the comfort of what is familiar rather than confronting the profound questions that challenge our understanding of ourselves and the world. Yet, it is in those moments of willingness to delve beneath the surface that we encounter genuine transformation and growth.
Can you feel the goodness and the positivity that is always with us. Can you see that there is a great deal in the world that is good and great and wonderful? Can you decide that you will be the very best version of yourself always and never waver?
Its all there because you are here.
