There is a quote  “ A picture speaks a thousand words”.

When we are living through our day’s we are photographers capturing our experiences. We are projecting information from previous encounters with ourselves that form those pictures. Observing this process engages us with ourselves and what we are saying. We are speaking through our emotions, our thoughts our actions. We gather the energy of these words, we collate information from these pictures and when we pay attention we can see what stories we are telling to ourselves and the world.

Through one day of our life we will take many pictures constantly recording our existence and we all carry these pictures as a metaphorical album of our existence. We will constantly scroll through this album at times consciously and other times not. When you look back at old photographs of yourself you see a version of yourself that you were when that picture was taken. Not only have you captured the image but the memories and the vibration of that time and place. You also capture the energy of the way the world was, events, people.

These mental snapshots are not static; they shimmer with the movement of our perceptions, evolving as we grow and gain new insights. Sometimes, a certain image resurfaces—unexpected, vivid—triggered by a scent, a song, or a fragment of conversation, reminding us of who we once were and nudging us towards who we are becoming. Each picture is a silent companion, offering both comfort and challenge. The album of the self is not just a record of the past but a living, breathing narrative that shapes our present choices and dreams for the future.

As we move forward, let us become more mindful photographers of our days, choosing what to focus on, what to frame, and even what to let go. In cultivating this awareness, we learn not just to observe life, but to participate in it more deeply, creating a gallery of moments infused with meaning, gratitude, and intention.

Nothing is ever static. Mind, Body, Spirit we are always in all ways on the move constantly developing advanced ways of being as we advance through our self development. Before the digital age photographs had to manually be developed a process that took many phases. You had to go into the “ dark room” so that the film was not exposed to the light. Now in this age of light we have technologically taken the development process out of the dark and now develop in the light.

In this ongoing exhibition of our lives, we each serve as both curator and artist—selecting the moments to cherish, retouching faded memories with newfound understanding, and sometimes gently removing the images that no longer serve us. Just as a skilled photographer plays with light and shadow, so too can we illuminate the scenes within us, highlighting the lessons learned and the beauty found in resilience.

There is power in revisiting our inner gallery with compassion. When we look closely, we find that every image, even those tinged with regret or sorrow, contains a gift: a reminder of our capacity to endure, to forgive, to change. And as we continue to add to our collection, let us strive to frame each new picture with openness and authenticity, so that, years from now, the album we leaf through will resonate with the richness of a life consciously lived.

So, take a moment today to notice what you are capturing. Pause to appreciate the subtle details—the laughter shared, the quiet moments of reflection, the courage it takes to turn the page. Each snapshot, seen or unseen, adds depth to the story only you can tell. Let your album be a work of art that inspires you to see with clarity, feel with honesty, and live with purpose.

With Love and Blessings
