About ten years ago my aged folks sold the family home and moved into an apartment in a retirement village near a popular beachside area. It’s a nice two-bedroom apartment and had a little balcony overlooking the green hills of the country. I said “had” because those green hills are long gone having been “developed” into housing. Little by little the surrounding hills have been carved away to make room for yet more residential areas. There’s nothing left of the green, the hills, the birds, the tranquillity. The signs advertising this all promote it as an exciting addition to the area. The houses are simply clones, it’s like the first two homes built went on some massive breeding program and all the rest of the homes are the offspring of this residential frenzy.

Theres just my 90 year old Father there now, he doesn’t even sit on the balcony anymore, after all who wants to look at this form of “progress”.

I looked up the word progress and apart from the obvious definition of moving forward towards a destination there was another definition.

“The development towards an improved or more advanced condition”

Are we improved? Are we more advanced?

Our spiritual investigations have opened us up to ways of thinking that show us how much more we really are and this has made us question and challenge the development of our progress. Not too long ago people never questioned what the powers that be were doing. They left it up to the “leaders”. With our greater wisdom we see the decisions that were made were often more beneficial to those in charge rather than the rest of us.

As more people take charge of the way they choose to progress it’s essential that our relationship with ourselves is where it all starts.

Improvements and advancements Mind, Body, Spirit are what we are all working with now. And so, it is fundamental to our progress that we advance our beliefs as we progress. How can we make advancements in our personal development if we don’t change what we believe. So often we find ourselves locked into relationships, jobs, ways of thinking, extreme conditions because we have not questioned what we are doing, thinking, feeling. Questioning will show us that there is more of us that wants to be heard and expressed.

Progress is not about your next destination but about the way you have developed a relationship with yourself that leads you to respect of yourself and of course the respect of life.

In a world where there is so much disrespect for life, people, nature we all have roles to play to progress and advance.

Perhaps this month be more conscious how you have advanced each day, maybe at the end of the day or week ask the question “what progress did I make that has advanced who I am”?

In other news! I shared the stage recently with Nicola Louw who channels Jeshua, at the Living and Giving venue run by Nancy Barclay here in Wellington. Awesome night, standing room only though Nancy did manage to rustle up some more seats! Jeshua and Tabaash debated over and hour and a half on a variety of subjects. At times agreeing other times not! Afterwards as I drove home, I felt like I was in deep trance and was ravenously hungry! The combination of the energies left me in an altered state for the rest of the week.

Nicola who was full term in her first pregnancy had to straddle a chair as it was the only way she could relieve herself of back pain. She went into labor the next day and delivered a healthy boy on Good Friday (appropriate I thought given whom she channels)

CONGRATULATIONS!! to herself and her husband.

Here’s some quotes to consider:

Progress is not just about a destination

Achievement means you have paid attention

If you are going to progress, do it in ways that are natural to you.

If you are going to get developers in, make sure they landscape you well!

Blessings and love to you all
